Spirit Surfers is a group internet art project that I launched
with artist Kevin Bewersdorf in 2008 using a grant that we received from Glasstire.
The project has often been categorized as an
internet surf club, which typically refers to a group blog functioning as an
informal style of collaborative artistic output for many internet artists,
starting around the mid 2000s. For more information about surf clubs and related projects,
